One of the first things I try to eat whenever I go back to Japan isn’t sushi, or ramen, but OMURICE.
It’s a type of fried rice topped with an omelette, and is such a childhood favorite and was one of my biggest pregnancy cravings back in the day.
If I’m in Farringdon, I like to stop in at Buy and Bite for the curry omurice, as well as the takoyaki - it’s very casual, a crowd pleaser for the whole family and apparently the one in Wembley has a soft play, too. For around a tenner a bowl its nice for a mid-week lunch out.
